Working with the simulator

- [Male] While we're here in the simulator, I'd like to point out a few things about the watchOS simulators. Like most simulators, if you drag on an edge or on this top part here, it'll move around. And yours is probably sitting up in the corner here somewhere, little tiny bit like that. So, if you want to expand it and make it look bigger, you can just find a corner and you'll get the little arrow icon, and then just expand it back up, and I'll make it nice and big and stay on the side here so we have our nice and easy to read watch simulator. Now the digital crown also works so if you actually put your mouse over the digital crown and scroll, you'll find that it will actually scroll. You can also scroll as though it were a touch with your scroll on your mouse with, right over the stop of stuff, like that! You've also got plenty of ways of getting to home. There's the home button up here. There is the watch button. And here's our app, I'm going to go back into our app, I'll click on that. And there's also cmd + shift + h. Now you'll also notice there's a side button over here which is clickable with the mouse and that gets you to the dock which we'll talk about a little later. I'm going to get you home here for now. And you can also get that by cmd + shift + b. Now in earlier versions, and you can still see it here if you go to Device, and then go one over and go to Touch Pressure. You'll see that there's this thing called Shallow Press and Deep Press. And right now it's grayed out for me, which is fine. Because you really don't need it anymore. The Deep Press was what you needed to turn on in order to get the configuration mode and to select which watch face you're going to be using. Right now, if you hold down your mouse button, that will do it all by itself, just like I just did. And then you can scroll through here and select your watch faces. I'm going to go ahead and add an extra watch face, too, and you can do that from the New button. And, let's go ahead and click on that and then you can add them as you need them. Let's go find a, something fun. Let's go for an Infograph. Okay, and you click it and that'll click it right in so that you can get one. Let's add one more just for fun, and so I'm going to go to the Infograph again with a long press and then a quick press on the plus and let's make this one Utility. And there we go and we get our Utility face. And let's go back to our original first one and I can scroll back to the Meridian here and select that and there we go back to Meridian. That gives you some idea how to control your simulator. Most of it is intuitive but some like long presses aren't as easy.
