- Open day.md. Vim day.md. You have a table of content and you would like to start writing the chapters. This file is in a Markdown format and it can be converted to HTML, PDF, and other formats. All the 1's will be converted to a numbered list by the Markdown processor. Meaning at the end you'll see 1, 2, 3, et cetera, et cetera. Why don't I write the explicit numbers? I'll let you figure that out. I would like to start writing content. Move to the end of the file with SHIFT + G. Use O to get into insert mode and write some text. The key to waking up is keeping your eyes open. Once you're done with this chapter you need to copy the next chapter header for the table of content. You can do a search or jump to the exact line number. However, since you'll be jumping to the same place every time you can mark it. Jump to line number 3. Start with going back to normal mode with Escape then Colon 3. Now create a mark by entering MA. M means create a mark and A is the name of the mark. You…
