- [Instructor] ESXi is very secure hypervisor platform, and one of the major features is Trusted Platform Module. This ensures the integrity of the hypervisor and the operating system. If somebody messes around with the hypervisor, if somebody makes some kind of change, inserts some sort of malicious code, Trusted Platform Module validates that the hypervisor integrity is intact and ensures that it does not contain software that should not be there. Virtual machine encryption can be used to protect the data of our virtual machines. All of our data at rest, the data that's physically stored on disk, can be encrypted. And we can even protect data in flight. So, if I am using vMotion to move a virtual machine from one host to another, or even from one physical location to another, the contents of memory for that virtual machine are being moved. That's part of what happens with vMotion. So, anything that's running in that VM, those contents of memory are going to have to get moved…
