- [Rick] In this video, we'll learn basic concepts of iSCI storage, and how it can be used to provide storage capacity for vSphere virtual machines. So let's start out by taking a look at an iSCSI storage array and the associated networking. And for the moment, we're going to remove our EXSi host and just focus on the components of the diagram that are specifically part of my iSCSI storage array and its network. And so if you've seen my videos on Fibre Channel, many of these concepts are going to be similar. The biggest difference between the two is the network. So here you can see some Ethernet switches that are connecting to my storage processors. Now the storage processors are essentially the brains of the operation. These are the CPUs for my storage array and they're also the connectivity to my network. And then in the iSCSI storage array itself, I have my aggregate. That's all of my storage capacity. So the…
