Upstream network issues

- [Instructor] If I've tested both the VM to VM same hosting port group and that passed and I've tested VM to VM different hosts, same port group single switch and that passed, I've effectively eliminated all of the virtualization environments. So now we're looking at actual, physical switch issues or possibly a router issue. Something deeper in the network than either virtualization or the edge switches. There's a little bit of testing I could do at this point to help narrow down the problem. I can test across multiple switches, same way that I did in the last example where we tested at across a single switch only now we specifically picked virtual machines that are on different switches. That allows for me to test a little bit more and verify that my layer two networking is working and perhaps the issue is upstream with the router or something like that. But at this point, mostly we're looking at either a physical switch or physical router problems. We can use scoping to help narrow…
