- [Instructor] The troubleshooting process is similar, whether I'm working networking, cars, or factories. I'm going to use an example from a recent trip to demonstrate the process. After defining the problem, I'll demonstrate moving around the elements of research, scoping, and investigating while working toward a resolution. To help keep everything clear, I like to use a diagram and write everything down as I'm working. So, I recently went on a roadtrip to Alaska with my dad and three kids. And while we were driving across Canada, I started noticing a high-pitched whine every time I went over 65 miles an hour, and then it would go away around 73 miles an hour. It pretty quickly got very annoying, so I knew I had to figure out what the problem was. And I was also concerned that it might be something serious that was wrong with the truck.
