Expandable reservations in vSphere 6.7
- [Instructor] In this video, I'll demonstrate how you can configure expandable reservations on a resource pool in the vSphere Client. So here I am in my vSphere HTML5 Client. And I'm going to click on Hosts and Clusters. And you can see I've got three resource pools created called High, Normal, and Low. So, let's say, for example, in this Normal resource pool, I have my resource settings configured as shown. I have disabled expandable reservations and I haven't configured any sort of significant reservations for either CPU or memory. So I have to configure some memory reservation here, just because of the fact that I've got a virtual machine running in this pool, and I have to reserve a certain amount of memory for overhead for that virtual machine. So I've created a really low memory reservation of 60 megabytes, and I've disabled expandable reservations. I'm going to hit Okay here. And I'm actually going to…
