Demo: Performing a vMotion migration in vSphere 6.7

- [Instructor] In this video, I'll demonstrate how to use vMotion to migrate a virtual machine from one ESXi host to another. So here's the virtual machine that I'm going to focus on, Rick vMotion Demo. You can see that the virtual machine is currently powered on. We can tell that by the little green arrow here. And the virtual machine is currently running on 192.168.199.12, that's the ESXi host. You can also see that the virtual machine is connected to VM Network, and that its storage is iSCSI_DS2. So let's go ahead and right-click this virtual machine, and I'm going to choose Migrate, and, with a regular vMotion, we're just changing the Compute Resource Only. So this is a traditional vMotion, it's not a shared nothing vMotion. It's not a storage vMotion, it's just a regular vMotion. So I'm going to change the Compute Resource Only.
