- [Rick] In this video I'll demonstrate how to inflate a thin provisioned virtual disk. So we're going to start out by going to hosts and clusters, and I'm just going to create a new virtual machine. So I'm going to create a new VM on this host. I'll right click the host, click new virtual machine, and I'm just going to create a very simple new virtual machine that I'm going to delete after this lesson. I'm just going to call it thin provision demo, I'll click next. I'll pick the ESXi host that it's going to run on, and I'll pick the data store where this virtual machine's disks are going to be located. So I'm going to choose this data store right here, iSCSI data store two. I'll click next. I'm going to choose the latest version of virtual hardware that's compatible with ESXi 67 or later.
