- [Instructor] In this video, I'll show you how to create a vSAN cluster, so in the last video you saw that we validated the network configuration of our existing host cluster here in the VMware Hands-on Lab environment. And so now, I just basically need to turn vSAN on. So here, under Hosts and Clusters, I've clicked on this cluster that already exists. And before we get to vSAN, let's take a look at high availability. vSphere high availability is currently turned off. That's good. If I were to try to enable vSAN on a cluster where high availability was turned on, I would need to start by turning off host monitoring. That would be step one. All right so if I'm in a cluster where HA is already enabled I'd have to actually go ahead and disable host monitoring because remember, with HA the management network is used for heartbeats normally. But if I enable vSAN, now the vSAN network is going to be used for heartbeats. Just to kind of review the process here, I would go to HA, I would…
