Demo: Create an NFS data store

- [Instructor] In this video, I'll demonstrate how to create an NFS datastore. So let's start by looking at my first host here, host 12 I'll call it. And on that host, I'm gonna click on the Datastores tab, and you can see here I have a datastore called Big. And Big datastore is an NFS version three datastore and it's got about 650 megs of available space. So I've got this datastore that's already open, that's already created and available on my first ESXi host. If I click on Settings, I can see some of the settings for this particular datastore, and I can take a look at specifically the Device Backing. This is what I want to show you. So the NFS server itself is 192.168.199.7 and there is a folder created on that NFS system that is being shared. And that's the important thing that we always have to keep in mind with NFS.
