- [Narrator] In this video, I'll demonstrate how to create a software iSCSI initiator on an ESXI host. So let's assume in my environment, that I already have some sort of iSCSI storage array, sitting out there deployed, ready to go. And now I want to go ahead and create a new data store on that storage array. So I'm going to go ahead to hosts and clusters, and here's my ESXI host, which at the moment is actually in maintenance mode. I'm going to right click it and take it out of maintenance mode. And what I want to do now is I want to add a new storage adapter. So what I'm adding here is basically a way for this ESXI host to connect to a storage device. You can see we've already got some VMHBAs created here, our host bus adapters, these are ways that my ESXI host can connect to its local physical disks. And so if we take a look at VMHBA 1 which is already there, there's some local disks that that VMHBA can connect to.…
