- [Instructor] In this video, I'll demonstrate how to configure NetFlow on a vSphere distributed switch in vSphere 6.7. And I'll be using a free lab git available at hol.vmware.com. So here you can see I've clicked on a vSphere distributed switch that I've already created, and what I'm trying to do with NetFlow is I'm trying to capture traffic patterns. I'm trying to understand what sort of traffic is flowing through this vSphere distributed switch. And so, what NetFlow's going to do is it is going to summarize these traffic flows and then send those little summaries to a NetFlow collector, like SolarWinds for example. That way I have the ability to do a historical analysis and troubleshoot traffic patterns occurring on this vSphere distributed switch.
