- [Rick Crisci] In this video, I'll demonstrate how you can change disk formatting using storage vMotion. So let's take a look at our virtual machine here. We have a virtual machine called a Rick vMotion Demo. And if I edit settings for this virtual machine, let's take a look at the current provisioning of the virtual disk. So at the moment, you can see that I have a thin provisioned VMDK for this virtual machine. And this virtual disk is stored on iSCSI_DS2. So, let's take a look at that storage. And go into the Rick vMotion Demo folder and find our VMDK. So here's the VMDK. You can see it's currently consuming zero Kilobytes of space. So it's obviously thin provisioned to five gig virtual disk, but it's consuming zero gigs of space. So I'm going to right click this virtual machine, go to migrate. And we're going to change the disk formatting by performing a storage vMotion. So I'm going to choose change storage only.…
