- [Voiceover] I'm Brandon Neill, and in this course I'll introduce you to virtual networking for VSphere 6.0. All virtualized environments are going to require networking. Our ESXi host need networking to communicate with V's inner server, each other, and for IP based storage. For our virtual machines, virtual networks allow for us to control how they communicate and connect them to the outside world. I'll take you through configuring and managing standard virtual switches, including managing port groups, NIC teaming options, and security settings. I'll cover configuring physical and virtual adapters and gathering performance data.
I'll discuss and demo configuring VM colonel interfaces, including new features introduced in vSphere 6.0. I'll wrap up discussing some best practices that I've picked up after supporting and managing vSphere networks for the past six years. Let's get started.
