- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Scott Simpson and welcome to Up and Running with Nano. The Nano Text Editor is a lightweight approachable text editor that's common on Linux systems and comes with Mac OS X too. It's great for making quick changes to configuration files. So being familiar with it is important for system administrators, developers, and power users. In this course I'll show you around the text based interface and we'll use keyboard key commands for changing modes and setting options. I'll show you how to manipulate text and then we'll take a look at some more advanced features.
Then I'll show you how to configure Nano with your own preferences. Let's get started.
- Installing nano
- Editing and searching for text
- Saving files
- Using Undo and Spell Check
- Customizing nano
