- [Instructor] There is another approach to motion tracking a difficult shot and that's to draw multiple shapes on the same layer. As long as all the patterns are co-planar it'll work fine. For example let's try that on this tablet shot. Remember that the various tools have plus variations. So for example if you draw the first shape with the x plane tool, to add a second shape to the same layer you'd select that layer and then use the plus variation. Here though I'm going to use the area brush which makes it very easy. So with that brush I'll paint several small patterns that are not covered up by the hand. I'll start with the top left corner. On the second one to the top right corner. I'll add a third here where the thumb meets the other fingers. And then one down here in the top of the watch band that's not covered up. These areas are all essentially in the same plane as the tablet. I'm ready to convert to x…
