Creating X-spline shapes
- [Man] In Mocha, if you want to motion track or rotoscope, you have to draw spline shapes, and the shapes find the planar patterns to be tracked over time. There are several tools you can use to draw the shapes, including X-spline, Bezier, Magnetic, Free Hand, and the New Area Brush. Let's start with X-spline, and then Mocha Pro now, but there's no project. File, Open Project. Now navigate to Exercise Files, 01_Basics, MochaFiles. I'll select 1-3, and you can see the Mocha extension. Mocha autosaves as you work, so if it detects a newer autosave version than what you're trying to open, it'll ask if you want that file instead. Though here I want the original file. So I'll choose No, and here's the project. Before we draw our first shape, I want to mention how to navigate in the View. You can middle mouse drag to pan.
