Combining masks

- [Instructor] So how are shapes combined when you rotoscope inside Mocha? Well it's different than when you motion track. When you motion track and you select the lowest layer, you'll see the upper layers are subtracted from it. So here's layer one, layer two, and layer three. And in fact if I move layer three so its shape overlaps layer one and go back to layer one, you'll see that both two and three are subtracted. That's great for motion tracking, but not so useful when rotoscoping. When rotoscoping you have to go back to the show layer mats button and change the mode. Click and hold and you'll see it's set to selected track mats by default. And this gives you that motion tracking behavior. What we want instead is all nats.
