- If you smartphone has multiple lenses, then you kind of have the same thing you have on a real camera when you have a zoom lens. That is, you have the ability to have a little bit longer reach or a little bit wider field of view depending on how your phone is configured. However, it's very important to understand that shooting with different focal lengths doesn't always give you the same image. We think of it as a great convenience.
