- [Instructor] As we do from time to time on Mobile Photography Weekly, this week we're going to focus on a specific camera app and explore its capabilities. The app in question is for iOS and it's one that Apple named its iPhone App of the Year for 2019. It's called Spectre and it offers some very interesting ways to capture the element of motion in a scene. Spectre lets you capture both still images in which motion over time is rendered as a blur as well as Live Photos where you can see the motion blur building up over time. Normally, if you want to capture motion as a blur, but have the still elements in a scene be sharp, you have to have the camera or the phone on a tripod or steadied in some way throughout the entire exposure time. The Spectre app offers a new capability for capturing motion because you can use it without a tripod and the static parts of the scene will still be sharp and unblurred. To accomplish this,…
