- Hi, I'm Sean Duggan, and on this episode of Mobile Photography Weekly, we're going to be looking at photographs through the monochromatic tones of black and white. The app that we're going to be exploring is for iOS and it's called Carbon. Let's take a look. I'm going to tap on the plus symbol up at the top there to open up an image from my camera roll and if you want to see the albums that you have on your device, tap on the back button and there you can see all of your albums. I'm just going to go back to my all photos view and we'll open up this shot of the bicycle in the doorway. I'm not going to make any changes to cropping or aspect ratio, so I'll just tap next. And initially when we get into Carbon, we're in the filters section and you can see down at the bottom we have a range of choices for black and white filters, duotones, old photo, and something called "acid trip" which is really just wild, crazy color effects.
