Explore packet delivery topics like understanding port numbers, establishing a TCP session, and exploring basic IP routing.
- Hello, I'm Mark Jacobs, Cisco instructor here at Interface Technical Training. And we're going to be talking about in the next few videos, the packet delivery process, which, if you consider the idea of what networking is, that is, having at least two machines, you can't have a conversation without at least two machines, but you can have two machines having an exchange of data, whether they be in the same room, on the same network, same subnet, or across the planet from each other, the packet, the individual thing which has to traverse the internet, needs to get from point A to point B.
These next few videos are going to explain that process. What happens? To me, the mindset is if you are watching a relay race and you're handing off the baton, that's the mindset, if you kind of capture that, then it's going to make perfect sense to you, this Packet Delivery Process.
