- [Garrick] Hi, I'm Garrick Chow. And welcome to this course on the new features of iOS 11. Here we'll be looking at the features of the operating system running on iPhones, iPads, and the iPod Touch that have been updated and added since the last release of iOS 10. We'll start with a look at the newly redesigned control center, where you can now customize the buttons for quickly accessing important tools and options. We'll explore the Files app, which provides a central location where you can now access files you have stored on your device or on various cloud-based storage services like iCloud Drive, Google Drive, and Dropbox.
We'll take a look at new personal safety features like Do Not Disturb While Driving and Emergency SOS. (alarm ringing) And we'll check out updates to specific apps like Notes where you can now easily scan documents, and the Photos app, which includes several enhancements to live photos. I've also included an entire chapter on the new features that are only available on the iPad, like the dock, drag and drop, and the new typing feature called Key Flicks. We'll be looking at all these features and much more. So let's get started and jump into iOS 11.
