Join Nick Brazzi for an in-depth discussion in this video Working with Excel, part of Learning Office for iPads and iPhones.
- In this movie, I wanna take a quick tour…of some of the most essential controls and features…in Excel for iOS.…You can see I already have a document open…and I'm gonna stick with the landscape mode for now.…So this spreadsheet has a bunch of employee names…and their salaries.…There's a bunch of other information here as well…but I just wanna focus on the names and the salaries.…Now, one important thing that you're gonna need to do…in a spreadsheet is add new information.…All the information in a spreadsheet will be contained…in individual cells.…
So let's say I wanna add a new name to this list.…So I'm gonna select cell A23.…That's the cell that's in column A and row 23.…And there are few different ways of adding new text…to this cell.…One way would be to just select that cell…and then I can tap on the formula bar which is this far…near the top that currently says 'type here' on it.…So I'm gonna tap on that and now I can type in new text…into the cell that I had selected.…So in this case I'm just going to type in a new name…
