What you should know

- [Instructor] Let's talk about what you should know before taking this course. Since we'll delve into intermediate topics, prior knowledge about iOS app development and some experience in Swift programming is required. For example, we're going to work with frameworks, classes, objects, and APIs. We'll implement delegate methods, and we'll work with closures. This course assumes that you've already built a couple of apps, but now you want to bring your game to the next level by integrating advanced security into your projects. If you're not familiar with these concepts, check out our Swift Essential Training. This course comes with exercise files that you can use to follow along. I suggest you download them to your desktop. To implement the exercises in this course, you will need Xcode 9.4 or later. You can download Xcode for free from the Mac App Store. You can run most of the demos we're going to build in the simulator. In some cases, you will need a physical device, like in the case of the touch ID or face ID demos. We'll be using iExplore, an app that lets us see a lot of our device's internal files. It's a paid app, but you can use it in demo mode for free. And with all that said, you should be good to go.
