What you should know before watching this course

- [Instructor] This is an advanced iOS and watchOS course. I'm going to assume you know a lot before we begin. At the core minimum, I assume you know the basics of watchOS app development. You've worked with Xcode 9 in building at least one watchOS app. You've developed in Swift and have at least a familiarity with Swift 4.0, and you are comfortable with both delegates and closures. If you're not familiar with these, you'll find some courses in the library to help you get up to speed. As we go through some of the APIs I'm covering, I'm also going to assume a familiarity with their iOS versions. These include SpriteKit, SceneKit, and MapKit. We won't be going deep into the APIs for these, just showing you how to get them to work with watchOS. I think you'll have a richer experience if you have a base in these APIs for iOS before you apply them to watchOS. However, I'm going to go through all the steps you need so knowledge of these isn't critical.
