Get started with the new Office for iOS suite.
- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Nick Brazzi, welcome to Up and Running with Office for iPads and iPhones. This course will get you started with the three main Microsoft Office apps for iPhones and iPads, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. These apps are surprisingly similar to the desktop versions, both in functionality, and in design. This course will give you the kick start that you need to get started with the mobile versions of these applications. We'll start by talking about what you can do in these apps for free, and what you would need to pay for.
You'll probably need to setup a Microsoft account to get what you need from these apps, but there are options for a free account, and a paid account, so I'll clarify the differences between the two. I'll talk about your options for file storage locations, both locally on your device, and on Cloud storage services. We'll spend a few minutes getting familiar with the core interface functionality in all three apps, including creating and saving files, and using the ribbon. Then, we'll get into Word, Excel, and PowerPoint individually to look at some of the most essential features for each app.
If you're a Microsoft Office user, and you need to create and edit documents on the go, then these apps might be what you're looking for. So, please join me as we get up and running with Office for iPads and iPhones.
