Learn how to give your iOS app the ability to store local, encrypted data like IDs, passwords, and credit card numbers using the keychain.
- Encryption. It's scary, right? It's a specialty and something you don't want to get wrong with users' sensitive data. You always want to store important data the right way. Encrypt it. But encryption can be overwhelming and tools to use it can be just as hard. But we have to get this right or know someone what already has. Enter Iowa's Keychain. Apple has provided the Keychain to store encrypted data. It handles it end to end we just have to give it the data and it will be encrypted and stored. And when we need it back, it decrypts it for us. It also protects the data from being accessed by other apps unless you let them. We'll look at how to do that too. I'm Bear Cahill, head binary sequencer at Brainwash Ink. In this course, we'll add encryption to our toolbox by deciphering Iowa's Keychain. Don't be scared, I'll make it easy.
