Use external storage devices

- With iOS 13 and iPad OS, Apple has added support for connecting external storage devices to your iPhone or iPad. This is a huge improvement in being able to easily move files between your iOS device and your computer, especially larger files that might take too long to transfer over Airdrop, or other methods that might involve transferring them to a cloud based storage location first. Now, on an iPad, you should find that most flash drives or SD cards should have no problem being recognized by your device. You'll most likely need a Lightning to USB adapter, like the one you see here, in order to connect the drive to your phone. If you have a newer iPad with a USB-C connector, you'll need a USB-C to USB adapter. Now, I also need to point out that iPhones, at least at this point, might have trouble reading larger capacity flash drives.
