Use the ProRAW format
- [Instructor] iPhones have been able to capture raw photos for a while now, but in the past, you had to use other apps that were designed for this purpose. With iOS 14, you can now capture raw files with the native camera app on the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. To activate the new Apple Pro Raw format go into the settings, swipe up until you find the camera settings and then tap on formats. Here you can find the option to turn on Apple Pro Raw as a capture format. Once again, you will only see this option on an iPhone 12 Pro or 12 Pro Max. Once you have enabled the pro raw format in the camera settings, you can access it in two ways. There's a button in the top, right of the camera app. When the phone is in a vertical position this would be in the top left.
