- [Instructor] Here on my Mac, running macOS Catalina, I have my iPhone selected with the General category selected. Now, if you're on iTunes, this will be the Summary section. But this is where you'll find the Backups area, where you can choose to back up your device to your computer or to your iCloud account. So, should you ever need to replace your phone or something crashes on it, and it needs to be completely restored, you can copy its contents and settings from your most recent backup. If you haven't yet created and iCloud account, you can set one up on your iOS device under Settings, tapping your account name at the top, and selecting iCloud, and from here you'll be able to set up an iCloud account. Or on a Mac, go to System Preferences, select your Apple ID, and select iCloud from here to set up an account.
