When you receive a voicemail, iOS 10 has the ability to automatically transcribe the audio from your voicemail into text. You can now read your voicemail messages. No need to play the audio.
- [Narrator] Here's a really quick feature…that you may find very useful.…iOS 10 can automatically transcribe…your voicemail messages into readable text.…I'll show you what I mean.…I received a voicemail message earlier today…so if I go into the phone app,…using the buttons on the bottom of the screen here…I'll flip over to my voicemail messages.…If you've used previous versions of iOS…then you probably know that you can…tap on a voicemail message to listen to it.…But now you'll see when I tap on this message…it has transcribed this message into text.…
So instead of playing the audio,…I can just read it.…It's doing voice recognition here,…so it's not always perfect…but if you're in the middle of a meeting…and you don't want to listen to audio,…you can get the content of your voicemail messages…visually instead.…You don't have to do anything to set this up…but you're cellular carrier…does need to support the feature.…Most carriers in the U.S. support the feature…and there are so many other carriers internationally…
