Starting the simulator

- [Instructor] To make the exercises move along quickly, I suggest launching both the iPhone and Apple Watch simulators before working on the material. With Xcode open, right-click the icon in the dock. Go to Open Developer Tool, and Simulator. The simulators will open, and you can get rid of the Welcome screen. Click on your simulator, go to Hardware, Device, and under iOS select the iPhone 8 Plus simulator. Then go to Hardware, Device, watchOS, and pick the Apple Watch Series 3 - 42 mm. These may be different sizes than what I have up on the screen depending on what you have done in the past. I'll get rid of this iPhone 10 here by selecting it and hitting Command + W leaving me with my two that I'm going to be using. I like to keep 'em clean before I start working here, so I'm going to select the phone, go to Hardware, Erase All Content and Settings, and select Erase. I'll do the same thing with the watch. Hardware, Erase All Content and Settings, after selecting the watch. I have my phone and my watch set up about the way I want to set them up, but you may want to change yours around so you can drag on the bezels here and move them around as you would like. You can change their size by dragging on the corners of them like so. That's how I'm going to set this up. Now you have a clean set up for the simulators you'll be using in this course.
