- [Garrick] If you've tried everything else we've covered previously in this chapter, and your iPhone or iPad is still acting weird or freezing up, or just not responding properly, the next thing to try is to reset your settings. Go to Settings, General, scroll down to your Reset. Now we already talked about reset network settings, if the issue you're having is network-related, try that first. If the issue you're having isn't network-related, try the top choice here, Reset All Settings. Now what this does is reset your preferences back to the way they were when you first turned on your device. But it won't delete any saved data like text messages, contacts, photos in your photo library, your music, or any apps you've installed. All that stuff will not be touched. What it will do is wipe out potentially corrupt preferences and settings on your device, so tap Reset All Settings when you're ready, you'll be asked to enter…
