Join Todd Perkins for an in-depth discussion in this video Install the Xcode and iOS betas, part of iOS 11 First Look for Developers.
- [Instructor] At the time of this recording, Xcode 9 has been just released into beta. You can find and download the Xcode 9 beta, along with any other relevant betas, at developer.apple.com/download. So, if you're following along with the course, you want to download the Xcode 9 beta. If you want to test out other features, like augmented reality, then you'll need to download the iOS 11 beta as well. For information about how to install these, if you have any questions, you can scroll down to the bottom of this page and see the Beta Software Installation Guides.
If you're interested in learning more about what is new in the particular version of Xcode that you're downloading, and Xcode 9 in general, you could always click the Release Notes, and, of course, that applies to all of these other betas as well. Once you have Xcode 9 beta installed, you're ready to go ahead with the course.
