- [Instructor] Now let's take a look at the Health App. For years there have been tons of third-party, health-related apps for doing things like tracking your distance, heart rate, and speed while doing things like running or biking. Or for keeping track of the amount of calories or types of food you consume each day or for monitoring your weight. And until recently most of these apps functioned completely independently of each other. To track multiple types of stats or activities you needed multiple apps, and there usually wasn't a way to share that information between apps. But with the Health App you have a central location to store and view your health stats and it also allows supported apps to share information. Let's take a look at how it works.
