Join Nick Brazzi for an in-depth discussion in this video Getting familiar with the interface, part of Up and Running with Office for iPads and iPhones.
- In this movie we're gonna get familiar…with the interface in the Office apps…and I've got a couple of pieces of good news for you.…The interface is pretty uniform…between Word, Excel and PowerPoint.…Even better news, if you've used…any of these applications on a computer…you'll find that the interface is very similar,…especially when compared to Office 2013 for Windows.…But there's one very big difference in the interface…between the iPad version and the iPhone version…when it comes to working with the ribbon.…So we'll look at both the phone and the tablet versions…of the Office apps here in this movie.…
Let's start by opening Word…just so we've got one of these apps to work with.…Once again, I'm starting on this front page…where I have four options.…I can look at my account settings,…I can create a new document,…open a recent document or open an existing file.…So to get a document to work on I have two choices.…One option is to create a new document…and to do that I tap on the New button…then I can scroll through all of these template options…
