- [Instructor] SF Symbols are great in standardizing your app to a set of symbols but you might need one of your own for a button. Let's look at how to make your own. On the Apple Developer website Design section at developer.apple.com/design you can download the SF Symbol app for Mac. Go ahead and download and just install it and then go ahead and open it up. You an customize the symbol using the Export Template feature. I'm going go ahead to Shapes here because these are easier to use for replacement than anything else, you can use some of these others if you're just going to modify one of those shapes as well. But I've got my own shape and I'm going to use the square.fill here and I'm going to export it. So I'm going to do, File and then Export the Custom Symbol Template and I'm going to change the name here to pie.fill.svg and I'm going to save it on my desktop.
