In this video, learn what information can be accessed from the lock screen on an iOS device without putting in the passcode. Then, learn how to remove specific items from the lock screen.
- [Instructor] Even when your iPhone or iPad is locked…and protected by a passcode,…there's still a lot of information by default…that can be accessed on the lock screen.…Let's go through each of these…and see how we can disable each one.…This will let you decide where you want to set that line…between convenience and security.…So first, here on the lock screen,…you will see some notifications.…This might be alerts for new text messages…or calendar appointments like I see here…but also, if you place your finger on the screen…and swipe up, you will see old notifications…that you may not have cleared…and for certain types of messages…like text messages or emails,…you can even reply right here without unlocking the phone.…
If your device has 3D touch,…you can press down on the message…and that will open up this box.…On other devices, you can just swipe left on the message…and hit View to get here.…So right from this screen without unlocking the device,…I can reply to this message and send that reply.…Alright, I'll hit the little x in the top right corner…
