Common architectures comparison

Common architectures comparison: iOS App Development: Design Patterns for Mobile Architecture

When applying architecture, your user experience doesn't have to change. This is all invisible to the user. The main different between MVC and MVP, is the UI View and the View Controller both just considered the View Layer. The Presenter contains all the non-view-specific logic, i.e. the business logic. The model layer just represents the Data (network, database or otherwise) that is used by the Presenter to ultimately give to the view. MVVM is very similar to MVC, just the Presenter is called a View Model, and there is some sort of Data Binding on the ViewModel's data and the View. MVP can use data binding too, so it comes down to a difference in names. The important part for any of these architectures is to separate logic to different layers: View, Data Preparing (View Model/Presenter), Navigation, Database, Network, etc.
