- [Instructor] My name is Jess Stratton and welcome to Monday Productivity Pointers. Depending on how long you've been using Gmail, your inbox may look a little bit different than some body else's. If you're a newer Gmail user, you may have this tabbed interface by default. Older Gmail accounts didn't have it. So, that's why I'm focusing on inbox types in Gmail for this week's Monday Productivity Pointer because it's always good to know what your options are and you may not know that there are different types of inboxes that you can use. In fact, I like to change it up every once in a while and try a new one and see how it works for me. These tabbed interfaces are going to put your different mail in different categories, for example, your Primary email is mail that Gmail thinks is important enough to be front and center. The Social tab contains social updates like notifications from Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The Promotions tab is where all your newsletters or junk mail will go…
