- [Narrator] As we spend an increasing…amount of time on our phones,…it's become more important to manage…the power usage of our devices.…iOS 12 includes a setting entirely for monitoring…and managing your device's battery.…We find it by going to Settings,…and scrolling down to Battery.…The first setting here is Low Power Mode.…It's currently only found on the iPhone…and it's not on the iPad, but this feature can be useful…when you're running low on battery power…or even for when you have a full charge,…but know you won't be able to plug in for several hours.…You can see here in the description…that Low Power Mode conserves power by limiting things…like downloads and automatic mail fetching.…
Basically, you can continue to use…all the functions of your phone,…but you'll have to manually check for mail,…and only the app you're currently working in…will be active for the most part.…Low Power Mode also knows when your phone…is facedown on a table and it won't turn the screen on…when notifications are received,…since you won't see them anyway.…
