The idea behind using the Event browser is to quickly locate—among all the not-so-great footage—the good footage that you actually want to use in your iMovie project. But in order to add that good footage, you need to be able to select the footage. This video provides a brief overview of how to make a selection of clips in the Event browser and add them to the project timeline.
- [Instructor] As I previously mentioned,…the idea behind using the Event browser…is to quickly locate among all the not so great stuff,…the good footage that you actually want to use…in your iMovie project.…But, in order to be able to add that good footage,…you need to be able to select the footage.…Let's take a look at a brief overview of this process.…So let's say I want to create a movie project…using the trail running footage I imported earlier.…Let's start by creating a new project.…I'm going to go back out to the main projects view,…I'll click the Create New button here,…and choose Movie,…and that takes me into my new project.…
Now, you can start working wit this project right-away,…but I like to got back to Project…in order to make iMovie prompt me to name my project.…Call this "Appalachian Trail Running",…and I'll click OK.…So, back here in the main projects view,…I can see my new project and I'll double-click it…to go back into it.…It's kind of a long way to go to name your project,…but that's the way we do it here right now.…
