Import video files: iMovie 10.1.1 Essential Training

Occasionally, you may already have some video files saved on your Mac that you want to import into an iMovie project. Importing existing files is simply a matter of copying them into iMovie either through the Import window or by dragging them into the iMovie project. Imported videos must be in a QuickTime-compatible format in order to work with iMovie.
