Join Garrick Chow for an in-depth discussion in this video Extracting audio from clips, part of iMovie 10.0.2 Essential Training.
…Now I'd like to show you a useful technique for…extracting audio from one clip and placing it in another.…This can really come in handy when the audio on…one of your clips might be unusable for some reason.…Maybe somebody said a bad word in the background, or maybe you just…want to use some music to record it in another movie in your current project.…Now, we've added a lot of audio to our project in…this chapter, so I'm going to select and delete this background music.…Just so we can hear the other sounds we're going to be working with.…So as I pointed out, most of the audio in these clips is at a pretty low volume.…Earlier, we used some of iMovie's built in sound effects to…help enhance some of the audio in some of these clips.…
But for this example, let's go to this clip where I'm running over the creek.…If I play this, you can hear there's practically no audio we can use.…Even if I were to drag its fine vine all the way up,…it's still barely usable.…So, instead I'm going to drag it's vine control…line all the way down, to completely mute it.…
