Join Richard Harrington for an in-depth discussion in this video Issues with fonts, part of iWork: Workflows and New Features.
…When working with iWork documents on a computer, you have a lot…more choices for fonts than you do on one of the iOS devices.…At this point in time, you can't really install a…third party font, onto an iOS device, so you're very limited.…Now if you create the document using one of the Apple…templates, it's going to generally stick with fonts that work across devices.…Or, you can create the document on the mobile device, and then not modify fonts.…Otherwise, when you go to open the document, you might see some errors.…Let me show you what that looks like.…
So, note if I open up the document that…was using Apple template fonts, everything comes in okay.…On the other hand, if I choose a document where I modified the fonts.…I may get some issues.…For example, it tells me that this font is missing from my device.…So, I'll open it, and it replaces…it with a default font.…So even though the preview showed me the font, you'll notice once…it's open on the device it switches and it no longer works.…The same will hold true inside of the web browser.…
