- Before we dive further into creating our book, it would be helpful to understand the dynamics between the two view modes of Pagination and Scroll View for landscape templates both within iBooks Author and on an iPad. In later movies, we'll see how to create and preview all that you see in this movie. But for now, let's have a look at the completed Explore California travel guide on two separate iPads to better understand these views. This first iPad is showing the pagination view. This is the default view for all iBooks created with a landscape perspective. Our readers experience our book by swiping left or right to change from page to page in a very natural way that mimics the traditional book. Changing from the Pagination View to the Scroll View is something that is exclusively controlled by our readers.
