Understanding Bookmarks and Links

- iBooks Author has two primary tools for creating custom internal navigation, bookmarks and links. Both are controlled from the Links Inspector panel. These tools allow us to quickly jump to specific locations in our book. Bookmarks are not exposed to our readers unless we create a link specifically to them. They're here to help you create custom navigation points inside of your book. Links, on the other hand, are exposed to our readers to aid in their navigation of our books. Similar to how links on the web work. They also provide us with the ability to connect our readers to additional resources that are not contained within our book and provide deep links into other iBooks. In this chapter, we'll explore how to create and use bookmarks and links.
