- We've done a lot of work on our Explore California Travel Guide already. Now, let's go ahead and preview our work inside of iBooks. Since iBooks is available for Mac OS 10.10 and all iOS devices running iOS 7 or newer, you'll want to test your book on as many of these devices as possible to ensure that your book appears the way that you want it to. To begin, make sure that your iOS devices are plugged into your computer's USB port via dock or lightning cable. Then, touch the iBooks icon to launch the iBooks application. Then in iBooks Author, go ahead and click the Preview button in your toolbar. A sheet will pull down where you can select what device you want to preview your book on. To demonstrate this, I've connected several devices to my Mac and I've named each device so we can see what the device is and what version of iOS it's running. With Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite or newer, you should see an option for This computer iBooks for this Mac in order to preview your book on your local…
